How We Work

The Ministry handles business between the Velocity Interoperability Network and organisations outside it in five steps.

  1. Step 1: Enquiry received

Enquiries reach the Ministry by email. Each is acknowledged and assigned to the office responsible for the subject.

  2. Step 2: Members consulted

Where a matter affects member organisations of the Network, the Office of Member Relations consults the members concerned before the Ministry replies.

  3. Step 3: Position agreed

The Ministry settles a single position for the Network. Matters that require an agreement are referred to the Office of Agreements.

  4. Step 4: Reply issued

The Ministry replies in writing. Replies of general interest are published as guidance or as a statement in the Newsroom.

  5. Step 5: Record kept

Correspondence and agreements are recorded by the Ministry and, where appropriate, transferred to the National Archive of the Network.

Common questions

If your question is not answered here, write to contact@ministry.gov.vin. The records the Ministry keeps at the final step, and how to request a copy, are described on the Records and Publications page; the business of the Council of Members is described under Member Relations.
